What is it about?
To gain all privileges on HF along with the full spectrum used in Amateur Radio (Ham Radio), that person(s) need to be licensed and know the rules to operate legally. US licenses are good for 10 years before renewal and anyone may hold one except a representative of a foreign government. In the US there are three license classes—Technician, General and Amateur Extra.
To get all of the HF Amateur Radio spectrum available, passing the last 50 question FCC licensing test to upgrade your privileges. The Amateur Extra License class is part of an ongoing series structured to get you to pass the last FCC license test. The class is led and taught by ARRL register instructor(s) from both Patriot VE Team and Colorado Ready.
